Enchanting Guimaras

Though we had just a limited time...we went to a third island in three days...Guimaras. It is located some fifteen minutes (boat ride) off Iloilo City. We hoped to go to Jordan but the taxi driver dropped us off at the pier where the boats go to Evangelista.
Though a bit disappointed, we were still happy to visit the place...because we are positive that next time...we shall be able to visit Jordan.

The boat ride costs something like P15.00 per person

Guimaras is the home of the best mangoes in the world...see how passionate they were in protecting their legacy.

Guimaras...an oil spill recently happened here...

Ships and tankers pass by the area on their way to the port of Iloilo

There are also white sand beaches here.

We were this cramped in the small boat...there were motorcycles aboard too.

boulders along the shore...reminds of Corregidor

Boracay

From Iloilo City...we went to Boracay...via Kalibo. Considered as one of the best beaches in the world, it is located in Malay, Aklan. There are direct flights to Caticlan were you can take the ferry ride to the island. Flights to Kalibo are also available, then you can just take a two to three hour bus (or van) ride to Caticlan.
Smiley...that's Kuya Richard at the back...with our Korean Friends.

Caticlan...only five minutes to/from Boracay...that is if you take the fast craft.

Hey Hey Hey...si Oliver naman...

That's the fast craft at the back...this is also a Ro-Ro point where buses from Cubao...yes Cubao Q.C. pass through before going to Iloilo City, Antique, Roxas, Kalibo...et.al.

These are the islets that you can see as you approach the Island of Boracay.

Fine powdery white sand...and the clearest of waters

Crystal Cove...an island off Boracay.

Yeeehaaahhh...I guess we need some wind to make this move.

One of the caves in Crystal Cove...the view is great.

Clear waters....schools of fish made our day. It's not everyday that you experience this close to Nature.

Mr. BoatMan and friends caught a lot of fish just by putting bread at the end of a nylon cord...survival 101 for you...

Kissing Nature's bounty...;)

Strolling at the Mall...

Getting our feet wet...
